Yes, Community Solar can help you reduce your energy charges significantly over time. When you subscribe, the solar power generated goes directly to the power grid. In return for your subscription and support of local renewable power, you receive solar bill credits applied to your utility bill. These credits help reduce your monthly utility charges.

The rate you are getting from your ESCO will be paid by the community solar developer along with all delivery charges and taxes so you are in compliance with that agreement. You will receive your community solar savings on top of any ESCO savings you have negotiated with your supplier.

Each Community Solar program differs by state and utility territory but all of the community solar programs we represent are state regulated and supported by your local state government in concert with a participating utility company.

The savings agreement is your commitment to the developer and their savings guarantee to you. They need to ensure the capacity produced by their farms is accounted for by businesses and consumers. Don’t worry if you want to cancel when you give written notice the contract is canceled in 90 days with no cancel fees!

The billing information is to verify your account so the solar developer can ensure you are a legitimate business or residential customer before securing your spot. You can change the billing information at any time.

You will always receive savings on the value of the solar credits you receive. Your total credits may fluctuate with the seasons but they rollover so sunny days and cloudy days even out over the course of the year.

You will still receive your bill that shows your total charges (supply, delivery, taxes) and the solar credits from your developer offsetting those charges. You will also have access to your personal portal where you can see the actual payable amount and confirm your savings.

Your Utility provider is paid with credits by the solar farm developer. You are paying the company that creates your clean energy.

You will be able to manage all your bills in one location, in your payment portal.

That’s not a problem. Depending on your solar investment, you can continue receiving a discount on any electricity usage not covered by your new solar array or you can unenroll in the program if your array covers 100% of your energy usage. Many businesses will use their savings as seed money to invest in a solar array in the future.
